Office Manager / Business Manager Position
We are looking for a skilled, professional, and friendly person to assist in the business operations of our 10-person IT consulting firm in Berkeley near University and 6th.
Because we are a small firm, you will work directly with the firm's leaders, and you will be responsible for everything from office supplies, to client communications, to tax payments and payroll processing. Many of our office procedures are documented, and you'll be responsible for following those procedures and recommending improvements or new procedures as the business grows.
You should have prior experience with business procedures (basic accounting, payroll, taxes, and hiring) and an administrative background or be a very quick study. You'll need to be comfortable accepting a lot of responsibility and able to follow detailed procedures while making few mistakes, and when you make a mistake, you'll be expected to acknowledge and address it quickly. You should be comfortable with computers and with Microsoft Office. Experience with QuickBooks and Access (or readiness to learn) will also be helpful; you'll have a short time to master these skills. You'll also need to be able to supervise a part-time assistant.
